Variety of Resources

ELearn ViP Material Available

Dueren (Germany), October 2006 - The EU project eLearning for Visually-Impaired People (eLearn-ViP) has ended. The project aimed at improving access to all kinds of eLearning services for the visually impaired through developing a variety of resources.

From March 2005 to August 2006, the project consortium - seven training centers for visually impaired people from six European countries - succeeded in developing:

  • guidelines for the development of accessible LMS, CBT/WBT and Virtual Conferencing Systems;
  • a graded rating system to assess E-Learning Environments based on their accessibility;
  • a prototype GUI for LMS and CBT/WBT contents;
  • a CD-ROM with all available documents in five languages (DE, DK, EN, FR, NL)
  • an online database with available accessible products and services.

All products are now available for download. The CD-ROM can be ordered from any of the project partners for the price of shipping costs only. The work of the project will be continued by the newly founded "Consortium for eLearn Accessibility" (C4EA).
