Training to Improve Educator Effectiveness
Duluth, GA (USA), November 2011 - ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI), an IACET-approved, nationally accredited, distance-training institution dedicated exclusively to the child care and education workforce, offers educators a new course for stress management.
Research indicates that the potential negative effects of stress in child-care providers include, but are not limited to, poor judgment, irritability, insensitivity, impatience, forgetfulness, and overall lower quality experiences offered to children in their care.
PROF100: Stress Management for Child Care Providers teaches educators how to improve patience, organization, and responsiveness in the early education environment. CCEI's course provides an overview of the effects of stress on child-care providers and recommends techniques for coping with and managing stress to improve professionalism and job satisfaction.
Participants will learn to define stress, identify sources and symptoms of different types of stress, and identify a variety of stress-management techniques.
"As professionals, we all encounter stress at one time or another. One key to handling it properly is to identify it early on and use strategies to deal with it", says Maria C. Taylor, President and CEO of CCEI. "CCEI's Stress Management course provides strategies to identify and deal with stress in the early childhood environment."
Upon successful completion of this course, students receive 0.1 CEUs and the ability to print and/or save their certificate of completion immediately. PROF100 is available at no cost to account holders with an active, annual individual or center-based subscription. Without a subscription, this course may be purchased individually through online enrolment.
