IMC Opens French Office

Saarbrücken (GER)/Paris (FR), February 2011 - IMC has announced the opening of an office in Paris. IMC will be focussing on its learning and talent suite CLIX as a cloud-based SaaS model. This, combined with the POWERTRAINER authoring tool and individual and standardised content services, offers a packet of services that is unique in France.

"Experts estimate the potential market for learning-management solutions in France at around thirty million euros per year", explains IMC Director Dr. Volker Zimmermann. "We aim to systematically tackle this market, especially as it is right on our doorstep as a company based in the Saarland."

With its new office in Paris, IMC now has sites and employees in seven countries, as well as in its home country of Germany. Marie-Hélène Carrel will be taking charge of the French office. Carrel spent ten years working in various positions at the technology group HP. She has also built up the French market for various international software companies, including Easylink, Progress Software, and Initiate Systems.

"The way that Marie-Hélène has used her in-depth market knowledge and clever partnerships to forge a profitable market presence for companies within a short space of time from market entry is really impressive." Zimmermann is confident that "her experience will really get us results". But Carrel is not starting from nothing this time. IMC already has a handful of French customers, including pharmaceuticals company Takeda France. IMC has also launched a French version of its website for other potential customers in France.
