IMC AG Moves North and Is Recognized as a Visionary

Saarbrücken (GER), April 2011 - The US market-research company Gartner Research has recognized IMC AG as a visionary in its current -œMarket Quadrant for Corporate Learning Systems (CLS)-. For its part, IMC has announced its further expansion into Scandinavia, with the opening up its office in Hämeenlinna, around 100km north of Helsinki, Finland.

"We believe the positioning as a visionary in the Corporate Learning Systems segment by Gartner confirms IMC's innovative capabilities, as well as our product and service strategy to be able to deliver a demonstrable return on investment for our clients", reports Dr. Wolfgang Kraemer, CEO of IMC. The evaluation of the supplier is based on criteria concerning the completeness of the vision, for example market knowledge, product and industry strategy, as well as ability to execute.

IMC is currently exhibiting its innovative power through the release of LIVECONTEXT. The performance-support system makes introducing new software in the company considerably easier, as assistants like podcasts, handbooks and Wikis are made available directly within the relevant application. Thus, the most varied of technical options like classic help texts, social media components, and training videos are linked together without media disruption.

Together with Prof Dr Dr h.c. mult. August-Wilhelm Scheer, the founder and Chairman of the IMC's Supervisory Board and President of BITKOM, an industry association, IMC continues to promote internationalization. "Since the beginning of 2011, we have established physical presence in France and Finland. We are also planning to open a site in Denmark later this year. This has made it possible to successfully expand IMC's position as leading provider of learning technologies in Europe", declares Kraemer.

Country Manager Claus Günther, who is responsible for the Finish market expansion, can fall back on his vast experience in the B2B market. Furthermore, he has professional expertise in the area of talent management.

Finland offers IT companies like IMC ideal conditions for market entry. Besides the current economic growth and a general affinity to technology, Finland's position in the global top 10 of the e-readiness rankings - i.e. the conditions in a country for the application of information technology and telecommunications - also pave the way for successful expansion.
