Learning Pool Teams Up with The Football Association
Derry / Nottingham (UK), October 2018 - Learning Pool, one of the largest providers of online learning solutions in the United Kingdom, has announced a new partnership with The Football Association (The FA) to support the delivery of a world-leading football education programme by 2020.
The FA's strategic plan, sponsored by Chairman Greg Clarke, sets out a clear vision for the future of the game and recognises that professional, accredited training is central to the growth and continued success of football in the UK.
To drive this forward, FA Education, which is responsible for managing qualifications within football, sought an online learning partner with the expertise, creativity, and customer service to support and accelerate its digital learning roadmap. Following a comprehensive tender process, The FA selected Learning Pool, acknowledging both its unparalleled customer satisfaction levels and commitment to driving sustainable innovation in the eLearning market.
Learning Pool will now work with FA Education to create a world leading education programme that offers professional, accredited training, enhancing the skills of the current football workforce and developing the next generation of coaches, referees, medics, and administrators. The programme will be underpinned by Learning Pool's reliable, secure, and engaging digital learning platform that will offer up-to-date content and information, and enable continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities for the diverse football workforce.
Lucy Pearson, the FA's Head of Education, said, "The FA is undertaking an exciting digital transformation in how we support participants across the grassroots and professional game. By investing in our digital learning platforms and capabilities, we will further enhance the high-quality education programmes that underpin our outstanding football workforce and, in turn, support and develop the players they are working with across all disciplines. We are looking forward to working with Learning Pool, who will bring expertise, experience, and energy to help us continue to improve and develop our education programme for the modern game."
Paul McElvaney, CEO Learning Pool, said, "We're incredibly proud to have this opportunity to work with The FA. Their selection validates Learning Pool's unique position to deliver the best in learning platforms, custom learning content, and cutting edge innovation. The initial phases of our engagement with The FA are progressing exceptionally well, and we're confident that we can meet and exceed their expectations as both the online learning market and their learning audience develop over the coming years."
