Elekta Chooses NetDimensions' Secure SaaS solution
London (UK), May 2015 - NetDimensions, a global provider of performance, knowledge, and learning-management systems, announced recently that Elekta, a human-care company pioneering significant innovations and clinical solutions for treating cancer and brain disorders, has selected NetDimensions Learning deployed via NetDimensions' Secure SaaS model to manage compliance training for employees and clients globally.
One of Elekta’s strategic goals is to create value for their clients, including radiation therapists and oncologists who use equipment or software provided by Elekta. The user experience has to be optimal, and users should get all the training when they need it, in their preferred format and language.
Elekta needed to centralise a number of different training functions in one secure, cloud-based system, including training administration and training records. As a global organisation with clients all over the world, Elekta has to comply with a wide variety of legal and industry regulations in different markets.
"We needed a partner who understands what we need to do in order to meet regulatory requirements and has strong experience in high-consequence industries like life sciences. NetDimensions offers the Secure SaaS deployment option, which provides us with the levels of data security we need, including validated hosting," said David Burns, Director for Global Training Solutions at Elekta.
"The selection process included a thorough analysis of requirements across every level of our organisation. We then drilled down to the primary needs and objectives: the safety and security of data and the ability to manage our compliance to regulatory requirements. We selected NetDimensions because of their Secure SaaS solution, which meets our data-security and integrity requirements, as well as the 21 CFR Part 11 validation of the system."
Liam Butler, General Manager for EMEA at NetDimensions commented, "NetDimensions Learning has been included in client validations for 21 CFR Part 11, so it is well suited to Elekta’s computer-system-validation requirements for the FDA. NetDimensions also offers a validated GxP hosting environment for clients who, like Elekta, want to take advantage of NetDimensions’ ISO 27001:2013 Secure SaaS solution to meet stringent information-security-management standards."
NetDimensions Learning will initially be rolled out to 5,000 users (Elekta customers and employees) and integrated with other systems at Elekta, such as their HR system, quality-management system, and Salesforce CRM.
"Our goal is to seamlessly integrate all our systems so we can have all our data safely and securely stored in one repository. From the administrative standpoint, there will be only one system for all our internal and external training," explained Burns.
