Ixonos Designs Boutique App Store for Intel
Helsinki (FI), June 2011 - Ixonos, creator of wireless technologies, mobile devices, services, and software, has delivered a mobile AppUp Store to Intel. The comprehensive project entails the creation of a full UX strategy for mobiles as well as concept creation, delivery of detailed designs, a working demo and UX design guidelines.
"We delivered a comprehensive mobile strategy to Intel that addresses the different variables affecting the ecosystem now and in the foreseeable future", explains Sami Paihonen, head of the User Experience Design Centre at Ixonos. "A thorough analysis of the current market situation, competition, and technology allowed our UX team to innovate a concept for a superior app store where consumers can use social networking features to interact and share experiences with one another."
Industry analysts Gartner and Forrester, for example, estimate a ten-fold growth in the mobile apps domain in the next few years. "We are proud to help some of the forerunners in this industry become the innovation leaders in the mobile-apps domain", says Ixonos Group's President and CEO, Kari Happonen.
"We see tremendous growth opportunities in mobile apps and the app store business as well as a clear trend of creating boutique app stores to complement major, global app stores, such as Apple's App Store, the Android Market, and Ovi Store", says Antti Aumo, head of Global Solutions at Ixonos.
