Transforming Pharmacy eLearning with Webanywhere

Leeds (UK), June 2011 - Mediapharm, a UK pharmacy-education company, has selected Webanywhere to deliver an open-source Totara LMS technology transformation for CPDEasy.com, its web-based managed learning service for pharmacy training, development, and product knowledge.

Webanywhere was selected by Mediapharm to implement a Totara LMS solution that will enable it to realise a number of enhancements in its provision of continuing professional development (CPD) and staff training programmes to pharmacy professionals working in industry, retail, and the NHS.

Mediapharm - whose clients include Superdrug, the National Pharmacy Association (NPA), Pfizer, and Reckitt Benckiser - recognised a number of benefits of using the open-source Totara LMS, including scalability, portability, and integration with third-party and legacy systems. Webanywhere's solution provides every Mediapharm client using CPDEasy.com with a design theme defined by their login and secure access to their own courses.

Conor Gilligan, Head of Operations at Webanywhere's Corporate Division, comments, "We are delighted to be working with Mediapharm on their Totara installation, which can host a large number of client organisations within a single instance of the trusted independent CPDEasy.com platform. The model enables administrators to manage activity site wide, including reporting (across courses and clients) and setting up clients without the complexity of multiple LMS installations. This creates real cost efficiencies for Mediapharm that they can pass on to their clients."

Paul Lowndes, Mediapharm's co-founder, says "We selected Webanywhere for their ability to pinpoint our requirements and deliver an online platform for CPD and pharmacy training that meets our needs for scalability, cost efficiency, and client revenue generation as a result of pharmacists' enhanced capability to deliver confident brand recommendation."
