Winner of the National Training Award in the South East
Cambridge (UK), October 2007 - Information Transfer and Priory Group have been awarded a prestigious National Training Award in the South East region for one of the training courses in their multi-award-winning corporate learning programme. Winners of this award are deemed to have undertaken training that has demonstrated outstanding achievement and proven benefits.
The Clinical Risk Assessment (CRA) training meets a critical business need by providing a foundation in Priory's internal clinical risk assessment procedures for its 2,300 staff at 24 healthcare sites. In the demanding and potentially dangerous environment of mental health care, poorly managed risk can have serious implications, so this is a critical training area. The training is a blend of a risk-awareness-raising module delivered and assessed using eLearning, and practical on-the-job activities to help staff localise learning objectives within their working environment.
Catherine Molloy, Consultant at Information Transfer, said, "We are incredibly proud to win this prestigious award, which recognises the many measurable and significant benefits brought about through the CRA training. For example, external, independent auditors have noted improvements in the recording and documenting of clinical risk as well as enhanced clinical-risk-observation procedures. An internal telephone survey of managers indicated improved confidence in CRA among staff and more consistency in CRA procedures across units. This award is also a reflection on the strength of the partnership between Priory Group and Information Transfer and the exceptional learning environment Priory Group has created for its staff."
The awards are universally recognised as the UK's number one for businesses, organisations, and individuals who have achieved lasting excellence and success through training and learning. The National Training Awards are managed by UK Skills on behalf of the Department for Innovation, Universities, and Skills. They are judged by an independent panel with a wide range of sector knowledge and experience.
Information Transfer and Priory Group received their award from Fame Academy's David Grant at the South East Regional Ceremony on October 2007.
