Gold for Excellence in Social Learning
Redwood Shores, CA (USA), October 2013 - Saba, a global provider in next-generation cloud solutions for talent management, has announced that its customer, Kaspersky Lab, was presented with a Gold Learning In Practice Award in the Excellence in Social Learning category.
The Chief Learning Officer magazine’s awards were announced during the Fall 2013 Chief Learning Officer Symposium, which took place 30 September - 02 October 2013 at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort and Spa in Palm Springs, CA. Established a decade ago to recognize transformational and visionary leaders in enterprise education, the coveted awards honor industry professionals who have demonstrated excellence in the design and delivery of employee-development programs.
As one of the largest endpoint security vendors in the world, Kaspersky Lab has more than 2,700 employees and provides innovative security software and solutions for home and business to more than 300 million people worldwide. The company’s main business goal was to increase productivity and organizational efficiency by creating a centralized rally point that all teams could use to manage work, share ideas and learn.
Kaspersky Lab is using Saba Cloud, known internally as “Kaspersky Learning Space” (KLS), to foster a culture of constant learning through collaboration and engagement among team members. Saba Cloud provides extended testing functionality, visual usability, social collaboration, training, learning, and crowd sourcing that is accessible 24 hours a day worldwide.
"A great deal of work has taken place across Kaspersky Lab to incorporate social learning and transform how we work. It’s an honor to be recognized with this Learning In Practice award," said Alfredo Iglesias, director, services and technical training at Kaspersky Lab. "With Saba Cloud, we’ve put in place an advanced learning solution that has changed how we exchange information, develop our people, and better serve our customers globally."
"Kaspersky Lab is a great example of an organization that is using next-generation technologies to create a competitive advantage for itself in the markets it serves," said Emily He, senior vice president, marketing at Saba. "They understand that people make the difference and have provided their team with different ways to learn and communicate, such as formal training, a virtual classroom session, and a news feed. We’re pleased to see their success and congratulate them on winning this coveted award."
