Cognition and Exploratory Learning in the Digital Age
Timisoara (RO), September 2010 - Advances in both cognitive psychology and computing have affected the educational arena. The conference on Cognition and Exploratory Learning in the Digital Age (CELDA) 2010 aims to address the main issues concerned with evolving learning processes and supporting pedagogies and applications in the digital age. It will be held in the "Politehnica" University of Timisoara, Romania, 14-17 October 2010.
Paradigms such as just-in-time learning, constructivism, student-centred learning, and collaborative approaches have emerged and are being supported by technological advancements such as simulations, virtual reality, and multi-agent systems. These developments have created both opportunities and areas of serious concerns. During the Conference there will be time to discuss both technological as well as pedagogical issues related to these developments.
Main tracks of interest include but are not limited to
- assessment of exploratory learning approaches
- cognition in education
- collaborative learning

- learning paradigms in the corporate sector
- virtual university
The Conference is hosted and sponsored by IADIS, the International Association for Development of the Information Society, a non-profit association.
