Teaming Up

Serious Gaming at Atlas Copco

Ghent (BE), May 2010 - U&I Learning is developing an After Market game for the training of the Atlas Copco sales staff. Atlas Copco is a Swedish company that develops and produces electric and pneumatic tools, compressors, building and mining tools, assembly systems, and related services.

U&I Learning has developed, among other things, an introductory course about the Atlas Copco development process in accordance with its internal quality and environmental-management system. The content for this course was developed by U&I Learning on an existing learning-management platform supplied by Skillsoft.

In conjunction with Atlas Copco's Portable Air department, U&I developed a learning module for all employees who are directly involved in the development of new products. This module familiarizes the employees with the general progress, the phases, the responsibilities, the deliverables, and the system tools of their product- development process. The learning module was incorporated in the Atlas Copco learning platform, together with the previously developed basic course.

U&I Learning was founded in 1997 and currently has three branches: the parent company in Ghent, Belgium; a branch in Eindhoven, the Netherlands; and a branch in Paris, France. U&I Learning is a partner of software developer Outstart and has about 120 employees.
